So I have gotten a job at a law firm. We are working on a case against the Army Corps of Engineers for the levees breaking during Katrina. Myself, I am sticking it to the Man by processing thousands of claims forms for twelve hours a day. It is exhausting, though I have developed various coping mechanisms. For example, I have been extracting maximum joy from names like Virgil Bienemy and Reginald Sprout. I also encountered a Hitler (first name), who was unfortunately born in 1937, when Adolf Hitler was merely that fellow with the funny mustache ignoring the Treaty of Versailles.

coffee again soon?
Good luck on your job! I hope you do well, and I hope you like what you do.
I’m glad you are doing your part. It sounds like you enjoy helping, even through the 12 hours days.
Hope you can get a break soon!
Odd that, you don’t see Hitler as a name much anymore.
Good for you though, I hope it all pans out well.
Anush, in your agonizingly long absence, some of us had no choice but to look elsewhere for . . . someone like you:

I think I/we may have succeeded. Her choices of items to share are extraordinary, as are yours. She blogs from her home in Russia.
I am pretty sure I would have changed my name if it was Hitler
“Hi,
This stuff gives the real information one needs. One can feel like reaching the destination.
I have a query though – Usual sites like dig.com and muti.com declare “spam” when I try bookmarking there.
I don’t have any spam pages or websites.
Can you help me regarding this matter?
Thanks.”
Ha, maybe it was Hitler’s illegitimate child, that would be about the right time frame.
Good luck on your job Anush, wish you successfully break the case with your effort.
Sticking it to the man is always a good thing.
Yay for “sticking it to the man”… I’m in law school now and can’t wait to do the same
This is the first time I’ve been here but I have to say congratulations its always fun starting a new job. Now that I work at home I have to say I have the best boss ever
Why have you stopped posting? It’s been ages!
That is too funny! Poor guy!!!
Anush! I heard you were in NY?
Looks like you vanished… after getting a job
I read somewhere that when the levees broke people in the area heard explosions. I guess we will never know exactly what happened unless we were there. Congrats on the new job.
Sounds pretty crazy, it also sounds like you are very busy.
I agree with James: why have you stopped posting?
Heh heh, is this the American way: sue left right and centre, instead of fixing the d*mned things?
Build too close to a river, expect to get your feet wet occasionally. They should not rebuild in the danger zones.
Good luck with the job… I hope that hitler guy will not start another HITLER days… lol
best of luck, it is good that someone is keeping these people accountable for this tragic event.
I like how the TV shows always make “being a lawyer” look so exciting, in the court everday type of job, fighting injustice. The truth is most lawyers spend most of their time paper pushing and maybe once or twice a month to they even go into court, and these aren’t OJ cases, its some kid with an assault, and drug possession charge. I thought being younger I would like to be a lawyer, thought I was good at debating, but then I heard and saw what it is to really be a lawyer (for the most part), and changed my mind. But, anyhow, good luck with your endeavor and keep sticking it to the man.
Hope you will come out with a good solutions.
Mr. Sprout sounds like he could be a friend of Walter Mitty. Was his father called Stanislaus?
