Generally speaking, it’s not a good idea to tell your mom about your blog. It puts a certain cramp in your style in this age of full disclosure. The eternal question — what would my mother think? — loses much of its mystery when she tells you next time you go home to stock up on provisions. Sometimes, though, it’s entirely worth it.
Your blog adds joy to my life. Thanks!!! I will pay you back with the little balls of Swiss cheese.
– Mom, recently, in an email
Your mom sounds kind of awesome! & I must admire your courage & candor. Part of the fun of my blog is knowing my mother is too much of a luddite to ever find it.
Hi Anush, after months / years of manually controlling spam, the fact that I\’ve got a comment from a real person who wanted to know why I moderated my comments has finally convinced to start using Akismet, and stop moderating.
this reminds me of my friend, I think all bloggers remind me of her, that and the fact that her mother would say something like that despite her nonsensical need to parody everything that was anything (which you don’t). Thought I write something so you don’t think I’m a freakish stalker. Oh and I left my googlepage link not for shameless linky link but rather so you can check out my postcard collection (it’s under ‘My Wall’).
