In the process of redesigning this blog, I’ve had to seriously reexamine my allegiance to CSS. Standards-compatibility and external layout styling are all very fine, but it seems that to implement this layout in CSS, I’m going to have to use at least three hacks just to make everything expand properly. Suddenly the lame spacer gifs that I used to stretch out my tables no longer seem so inelegant.
