Frontage Roads has finally, finally gone to press. It was epic. I worked on it with Ben from 5PM Sunday night to 7AM Monday morning, slept for four hours, put in another three, and then we went to press. I’m done. It feels post-apocalyptic. I am tattered but victorious. What do you think of my cover?
Prom’s over too. The advertising worked — too well, oh, well. In other news I was nominated for Ms Westwood, which is another what the hell.
It appears that facepaint improves me, though probably not enough. From prom: one, two, and the one with my little brother, in which I am evil-looking and he is like fifty billion times more attractive than me.
I’m rarely impressed by graphic design work not done by professionals, but bravo. The composition and dynamics are good, and it leaves me wondering how you did certain aspects. The birds, for instance. Color overlay or posterize + replace color? Were they taken from a photo with high contrast? The pen paths are also well constructed and evoke gravity, which is hard to do and genuinely artistic. The only minor detail I’d press is the actual logo- it’s a bit uncreative compared to the rest of the piece in terms of font, and also, the blatant stroke around the text would work if it weren’t such a default font. Overall, 9/10
PS. Every time I see a new picture of you, you look like you’re aging exponentially. Wtf? Two years ago you looked ten years younger.
