Frontage Roads is getting into its intense phase, which is as it should be. I think the problem with Frontage Roads is that it’s got too much democracy — in order for a piece to be rejected “right away,” about eight people have to see it, and of course the final elimination rounds are much more time-consuming. I don’t really mean this. Frontage Roads’ democratic process is a good idea. However, as the magazine masticates increasingly massive chunks of my so-called life, I become nostalgic for the “democratic centralism” of the Soviet Union.
The remaining semester of PE I need credit for has been giving me increasing grief. My counselor has twice now suddenly remembered about easy, free ways for me to get PE credit, after we’ve already paid for Texas Tech’s unjustly work-intensive version (on her recommendation). This is all her fault anyway for telling me I could get a year’s credit for doing tennis back in Michigan. It is lucky for Ms. Roberts that she is totally adorable.
Google continues to offer me new and exciting opportunities to get my geek on with customizable Google News. Joy.
I thought I’d disable comments for a few entries. This is sad because everyone who talks here is funny or very strange in a way that I will miss. But I have been writing increasingly for what people have to say in response. This is fine for conversation but defeats the purpose of a blog. So I thought I would try this.
