So today Deepu drives me around for a while after school, because hey, birthday, and then he drops me off at home. My grandmother starts muttering something about tornadoes and my mom starts talking about the amazing properties of tablecloths taped over glass patio doors to stop tornadoes, and I’m slowly questioning the physics, completely suspicion-free, when she opens the door and suddenly there’s all these people with little foofy paper things and balloons.
No words. Just, coolest thing ever, ever, ever, and all thanks to nefarious plotting of Deepu Sudhakar (that much) and it involved sushi and pizza and crack Altoids and a watermelon, which met an untimely demise when tossed off the roof of the local elementary school. I am not sure why this happened.
Cool things:
- Arvind walking away from us in the dark when we were all walking, and then coming back a few minutes later, a dark silhouette holding a knife.
- scarf from Lea, which should do wonders for my personal style. Also, has red A on it. Resemblance to The Scarlet Letter accidental? Or not?!
- Megan (and her midriff)
- so many other cool things! But need to sleep. Immediately, because on verge of collapse. Love everyone a lot, specifically Franzi, Carl, Lea, Brian, Ari, Megan, Ben, Ben, Deepu (!!), Joel, Sam, Arvind, Jason (with cool hat).
Also: twenty-minute birthday mp3 from Bilal, which is just too magnificent for me to handle right now. My entire life is going to have to be dedicated to paying off this good karma. I have good family, I have good friends… Clearly, I was some kind of massively saintly person last life.
yay happy birthday. I’m glad you were so surprised… I kinda thought someone would have given it away/you would have figured it out but I guess it’s good that you didn’t. I think everyone deserves to have a surprise birthday party at some point. nothing quite like that initial feeling of surprise and then happiness.
i’m glad *you* enjoyed it, because it was definitely one the best weekdays i’ve ever had lol. i wish i could have seen you be all surprised, but i had my rice interview. i’m not sure what the point of the watermelon was either, but it was a really beautiful event, somehow. i wonder how they reacted to it this morning. also, you have a really pretty room.
love you too.
Happy Birthday ANUUUSH!
i’m not sure why the watermelon happened either, but i’m almost certain it had something to do with joel. and the opium that was in the air when we bought the godforsaken thing.
but *happy birthday* in case i forgot to say it enough earlier. and whatnot.
man, megaman is cool. you should play.
Congratulations!
You’re one year closer to death. (Or a chronic disease, but I won’t give it away)
I’m glad that you enjoyed it.
Death can come at any age… but yea… you’re probably going to die sooner, now.
dude. incredible weekend. ok, so friday night, we drive from south evanston up to wisconsin and back (120 miles) in 1.5 hours. i think the average speed on the highway was like 90 or 100. incredible. listening to heavy metal the whole way and talking to the friends. (no, i wasn’t driving, thank god). Then, saturday i play my 3rd concert in 2 weeks, and go to a party with the rest of the orchestra, have lots of fun till 1 am. get home and get yelled at. woohoo!! but dude, i’m insulted i’m not on the “luuuuuuuv” list. then again, we don’t talk all too often, but whatever…omg, i have another concert in like 10 min, i gotta play Bach for some stupid class at the ecole. BUT GLORIOUS GLORIOUS BACH. and dude, you gotta come north. it’s actually cold!!! thank god. screw the warm weather. you gotta be in the wind to be happy!
Sorry I couldn’t make it Anush.. I had class =[
I’m glad you had fun though, I probably wouldn’t have meshed well with all the stupid High School kids.. (did I say that?)
yes, yes you did.
